What's new in the DaVinci Resolve online studio

Everything the studio changes gets written down here, newest first. Releases ship from the staging environment after review, so a project is never updated in the middle of a working session without a note.

  • Release notes kept with the project, not in an email
  • Rollouts ship through staging first
  • Project structure never changes under a running edit

Inner pages for every stage of the workflow

The marketing side of the studio now has a page for each part of the job instead of one long homepage, so a search for editing, colour, Fusion, Fairlight or delivery lands on the right explanation.

  • New: online editor, colour grading, Fusion, Fairlight, Deliver and Studio plan pages
  • New: plugins and neural engine, system requirements, download, training and this release notes page
  • Analytics: first party measurement on the marketing pages
  • Sitemap: all inner pages listed for search engines

The studio button checks the account before it queues

Opening the studio is now a verified action rather than a button that always fires. Signed out visitors get the sign in dialog, accounts without an active plan are pointed at pricing, and subscribers go straight into the render queue.

  • Subscription checked before a job is queued
  • Clear states while the check runs: checking, allowed, upgrade
  • Failed checks report the reason instead of failing silently

Pricing, privacy policy and terms published

The commercial and legal pages went live with the plan structure, the refund and cancellation rules and the data handling that sits behind an account.

  • Starter, Pro and Studio plans with monthly and yearly billing
  • Privacy policy covering account, usage and billing data
  • Terms of service covering studios, classrooms and team seats
How the studio ships

Staging first, every time

Changes are built, deployed to a staging environment and walked through before they are promoted. Production deploys are deliberate, never automatic, so a working day is not interrupted by a surprise release.

  • Staging environment for every change, review before promotion
  • Production releases promoted by hand after review
  • Project data compatible across releases
  • Report anything unexpected through the support address
Help

Frequently asked questions

Release notes questions that come up before a first render.

How often does the studio change?

Small changes ship through staging continuously and are promoted in batches. Anything that affects the pages you work on is written up here with a date.

Do updates break my projects?

No. Project structure is compatible across releases, so a timeline, grade or mix opened after an update keeps working. Effect behaviour that is version sensitive is noted in the release entry.

Where do I report a problem or request a tool?

Use the support address in the footer. Requests for effects, presets and workflow changes are collected and prioritised alongside the roadmap below.

Can I see a roadmap?

Themes in progress are compositing depth in Fusion, more neural engine tools, shared review workflows and deeper delivery presets. Entries appear here when they ship.
